Welcome To Radioliterate

A source for news, information, opinion, instruction and humor related to the music business, pop culture and the culinary arts. My name is Mick Trivane A.K.A. "Sirius Stern Fan" A.K.A. "SSF" A.K.A. "Terrafirmick" you may have read my articles on SatwavesPro.com a successful blog site dedicated to covering late-breaking SiriusXM news, the technical/fundamental analysis of the (SIRI) stock, as well as the home of a robust, engaged and laser focussed investment community. SatwavesPro is operated by Brandon Matthews a prolific writer and analyst who is as brilliant as he is polarizing and entertaining. If you invest in the (SIRI) stock, you may just want to sign up for full access to his site. I am also one of over 5,000 contributors on the wildly successful SeekingAlpha.com the premier website for actionable stock market opinion and analysis, and vibrant, intelligent finance discussion. I am probably best known for the thousands of sardonic and sarcastic comments (attributable and anonymously) left under hundreds of online blogs, message boards, chat rooms and Twitter.
I was born in West Orange New Jersey in 1970, I have lived and studied in Endwell New York, Murfreesboro Tennessee, Ft. Lauderdale Florida and Edgewater Maryland. I have an associates degree in Music/Video business from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale Fla. and a Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Industry Management with an emphasis on production and technology from M.T.S.U. in Murfreesboro TN. In High school, during the 11th and 12th grades, I was allowed to "opt-out" of Math & Science classes in exchange for my enrollment in the culinary arts program which was part of the Hotel/Restaurant management department of the Vocational/Technical school on my High schools campus. I was offered a scholarship to go to college for the culinary arts, but refused it after my Grandfather (who had owned and operated the popular Longhorn Char-pit in Seaside Heights New Jersey) reminded me that "if I planned on having a family one day, and if I enjoyed having weekends and holidays off, I would be best to choose a different profession."
I was the lead singer and co-songwriter in the Heavy Metal band Terrafirma, we toured the local dive-bar circuit in Baltimore/Washington/Annapolis from 1986-1991 where we earned 10's of dollars per Gig and even had our music played on WIYY 98Rock in Baltimore. I have many songs that I will eventually post for download as soon as I can round them up. I have many stories from my days as a 16-21 year old singer which I will post in the "Pot Luck" page soon. I am still friends with my ex-bandmates and we will begin a new podcast filled with the fun, music and nostalgia of the 80's. We plan to perform our music live on the podcast so follow me @Terrafirmick on twitter to stay updated on Podcast release dates. The podcast is still untitled as of now, but I will soon come up with something witty like "North Atlantic Pod" or "Pod Almighty" I'm not even sure if those are already taken. Regardless it will be released soon so stay tuned.
